MASPLASMOULDINGS
SERVICES
Masplas Mouldings Ltd. use the latest CNC controlled Arburg Injection moulding machines from Germany, from 10 tonnes up to 100 tonnes clamp force, giving high quality, close tolerance parts on a repeatable basis. We can produce from a wide range of thermoplastics, such as LDPE, PPCP, ABS, Nylon 6/66 and PC in filled and unfilled grades on our microprocessor-controlled machines in shot weights up to 200g.
We regularly run a lights-out operation, 24/7, for many of our high volume customer parts, and also offer our own unique quick change insert system on the 10T and 35T machines, to give a novel solution to short runs and lower tool costings, which can often be a stumbling block to customers with new products untested in the market place.
Services offered include:
Insert addition. (Threads internal and external), Drilling and machining, Laser marking, Chrome plating, Painting
Assembly and testing, Adhesive Bonding, Printing (Pad/Tampo/Screen).
Our highly trained staff also perform many post moulding operations, such as assembly, insert additions for threads or studs, adhesive bonding and specialist packaging to suit our customers’ needs before dispatching products using either our own delivery vehicles or trusted express freight carriers. We also have the necessary expertise and export documentation training to ship worldwide. Stock can be held for customers, and can produce to JIT and KANBAN systems.

PLASTIC MOULDING & INSERT MOULDING
Masplas Mouldings Ltd. use the latest CNC controlled Arburg Injection moulding machines from Germany, from 10 tonnes up to 100 tonnes clamp force, giving high quality, close tolerance parts on a repeatable basis.
We can produce from a wide range of thermoplastics, such as LDPE, PPCP, ABS, Nylon 6/66 and PC in filled and unfilled grades on our microprocessor-controlled machines in shot weights up to 200g.

We can offer an insert moulding service for customer plastic mouldings, either added into the moulding process, or post-moulding by an operator. These inserts are usually metal (brass, steel or aluminium), and can have internal or external threads, and other features if required, in order to add mechanical strength or wear resistance to certain key areas of the moulded part.

CNC ENGINEERING
We can also offer a full engineering production service from our latest CNC mill and lathe machinery. This can be a benefit to customers with, or without plastic injection moulding needs.
Parts can be produced from one-offs or high volume using either our HAAS CNC 4 axis milling machine or our CMZ CNC lathe with both axial and radially driven tooling. These machines are designed for maximum efficiency and accuracy and can produce parts in a wide variety of steels and non-ferrous materials, which can be plated or painted after machining.
Turning capacity – 250mm diameter x 600mm long
Milling capacity 1100mn x 450mn x500mn

MOULD DESIGN & PRODUCTION
At Masplas Mouldings ltd. We realise customers need confidence for the design and management of tooling, be it one-off or suites of tools. To achieve this we use the latest CAD/CAM Software, and have fully trained technical staff who can give the best results for the customers’ project and achieve maximum benefits from this technology.
Our fully equipped machine shop can manufacture moulds in a variety of material with complete accuracy, on new CNC machines linked to our CAD/CAM facility.

3D PRINTING AND PROTOTYPING
Our own in-house 3D printing service was originally purchased to aid our design process, but it soon became popular with customers as a means to produce a plastic part to their design quickly and efficiently.
We can 3D print PLA, PETG or TPU with a maximum size part of 200 x 200 x 400mm volume. Using the latest software to turn customer concept and design in to a real, touchable object in just a matter of hours.
We have found this to be an invaluable way to produce near “injection moulded part” without the high mould cost or long delivery times normally associated with injection moulding.

ASSEMBLY
Our specialised in-house assembly service is mostly used for bringing together injection moulded parts and machined parts into a sub-assembly, or finished part, and as well as hand assembling we can provide press assembly for interference fit components. This assembly operation can also include securing components together solidly with Loctite, or cyanoacrylate adhesives, to give a permanent bond.
Finished parts, or sub-assemblies can then be heat-sealed, or specially packed in custom cartons for direct point-of-sale for customers, so saving another outside operation and reducing lead times to market. We can also offer a storage, and call-off service for customers who wish to take regular deliveries in a timely manner without themselves holding large stocks, and placing many small orders.
